Hi,

I've got a new Alphablox installation running on WAS 6.1. When I try to get to the Alphablox administraion page I get the following error:
Error 500: No Factory registered for com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.srt.SRTServletRequest

Obviously this is an internal server error (500) but can anyone give me a clue where to look to resolve this problem. I've tried reinstalling AB several times with the same result.

Also.. looking into the server log for the app server I see the following:

[08/08/07 09:19:58:406 BST] 0000001f ServletWrappe E SRVE0068E: Uncaught exception thrown in one of the service methods of the servlet: HomeServlet. Exception thrown : java.lang.RuntimeException: No Factory registered for com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.srt.SRTServletRequest
at com.alphablox.server.bloxcontext.BloxContextFactoryImpl._getFactory(Unknown Source)
at com.alphablox.server.bloxcontext.BloxContextFactoryImpl.getFactory(Unknown Source)

I'm not sure if this is a WAS problem or Alphablox problem.

Thanks for any help, Bob

I also posted the same story on the Websphere forum. There they suggested that this is actually a problem in Alphablox rather than a Websphere App. Server error.
I've installed Alphablox 8.4.0.1 over 8.4.
The installation log showed no errors occurred during the install.

I could really use some help with this problem as I'm at a loss as to why the admin screen will not start up

Thanks, Bob IBM IMS GNR Services

After a lot on installing and uninstalling I can know confidently say that Alphablox does NOT work with Websphere Express 6.1 latest fp.
Looking at the ABX documentation it says that it should work with WAS Expres 6.0.2 and up. I have installed it on 6.0.2. and managed to get to the application screen. Believe me thats a huge step forward. I'm not convinced yet its fully installed correctly but I'll work on that and let you know.
Hopefully this post will help somebody sometime in the future
