Here is the message

SQL22205C The DB2 Administration Server encountered an
unexpected error while executing a request.

Explanation:

An unexpected error occurred in the DB2 Administration Server
while it was processing a request.

User Response:

Refer to the DB2 Administration Server's First Failure Data
Capture Log for additional information.

If trace was active, invoke the Independent Trace Facility at
the operating system command prompt. Contact IBM Support with
the following required information:

o Problem description

o SQLCODE or message number

o SQLCA contents if possible

o Trace file if possible

Log files are not informative - at least I don't understand anything there. I also made a trace log file - if you need, i may publish it or any other log you ask. Please, help me.

p.s. At the same time, I've SUCCESSFULLY created sample database via db2sample (or however it's called)

I suggest you should execute the following command:

/dasdrop db2das
if the problem exists ,you can create the das again.
/dascrt db2das

did you create db by control center? I think you can have a try on command line.

Thanks for reply.
I can't remove admin server by dasdrop, because I'm on WinXP.

As to db - yes, i create it in control center by mouse click...

Now i've tried to create it in Command Editor via 'create database test' command and it works! Wow, but I'd nevertheless like to know, what's wrong with Control Center? I'd love to have some automation capabilities - like carrying out operations via mouse click instead of typing commands, until it's really needed...
