db2stop, db2start. Command not found

Hi.

I'm try to execute the following commands: db2stop and db2start, and they're getting the same error: "db2stop: command not found".

I've looked for these commands under "/users/.../sqllib/adm/" but they aren't.

Anyone have an idea?
Do I need to install anything else?

Did you follow the insts in the QUick Beginnings Guide? Did you create
an instance?

The instance was created by another person before I began to work with it. All work's fine, but, these commands aren't present.
I'm going to read again the "quick guide", but if you have any idea...

One question. When you create an instance, there are a step in which you have to install those commands?

creating an instance will automatically install those commands in the instance owner's <home directory>/sqllib/adm.

if an instance has been created with db2icrt, you might have to run
db2iupdt.

Hi,
If you would like to connect to db2 database first you need to login with the user that has db2 profile started at login. The default user is db2inst1. Then try using db2start command.

Default path of db2 installation is /opt/... directory. In my sample it is:
/opt/ibm/db2/V9.1/adm/db2start
