Hi,

We currently have a DB2 v8.1.12.99 ,FixPak "12" [64 bit version] running on windows 2003 server.

Because of some security issues reported in "http://secunia.com/advisories/26471/", we need to upgrade to FixPak "15"

This is the first time, we are applying a fix pack. so I have some quetions regarding this.

1. our DB is japanese version , so do we get a japanese version of fix pack?
I tried the link
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=71&uid=swg21256105 ,
but no language is specified.

2. after applying the new fixpack, do we need to stop and start DB2 instance?

3. after applying the new fixpack, do we need to rebuild the application
(stored procedures, functions etc.)?

4. after applying the new fixpack, do we need to run REORG/RUNSTAT/REBIND?

5. Do we need to consider any other things while applying fix packs?

Thanks,
Sree

There is a fixpack readme file that is available on the download page that
will answer all your questions.

I will tell you that all the fixpaks for that version are language
independent, which means that all languages are included.

Hi Mark

Thanks for the reply
In the readme.txt, it says ->
"IBM DB2 Universal Database Version 8.2 FixPak 4 and later (equivalent to Version 8.1 FixPak 11 and later) "

So it means there is no separate Readme for Fixpack "15" , is it?

Thanks
