Hi there,

I have a question regarding the DB2 Client - Control Centre. I can successfully use this to access local databases, and can query etc.
What im trying to do is access a server database, but am having troubles.

I can connect to the Unix box where this db2 database is located, using PuTTy and a proxy to gain access. I can then run db2 from the command line, no problems.

Im trying to be able to have some sort of GUI client so i can more easily view the data, structure etc.

Any suggestions?

Try using the Client Configuration Assistant GUI. You will need the host
name (ip address), port number of instance (default is 50000), and database
name of the database you are trying to connect to.

I assume your talking about the assistant wizard. I tried this, but cannot connect , it simply times out. Bringing me back to the proxy issue. ( in a different zone )
