- kong6 database is created both in DB2 and DB2TEST

If i issue the following command :

1)

2)
Catalog database kong6 as remotedb at node node1

3)

Each instance must have its own port number. This is defined in the dbm
configuration. (db2 get dbm cfg). The dbm config may have a service name
instead of a port number, but this is mapped to a port number in the
services file.

Hi Mark, thanks for the reply.

Here is what i get from the DBM CFG :

TCP/IP Service name (SVCENAME) = db2c_DB2

I am using DB2 v8.1 for windows xp professional.

May i know where is the "SERVICES" file located on windows ? i belief that the services file have the entry for port number refer by "db2c_DB2". Correct me if i am wrong.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
